A New Adventure Is Coming: Introducing HEDGE from Ethics4Kids

Something exciting is on the horizon for families, educators, and young learners who love the Ethics4Kids program. Don has been hard at work crafting a brand‑new storybook designed to bring the Ethics Trail to life in a whole new way. It’s called HEDGE, and it’s almost ready to share with the world.
HEDGE is more than a book. It’s a companion to the Ethics4Kids lesson plans, a bridge between the curriculum and the imagination of early learners, and a story that helps children understand values through characters they can relate to.
Inside the pages of HEDGE, readers will meet Wynn and Mia, a brother and sister who begin their journey in the Golden Meadow and set out along the Ethics Trail. Guided by Felix, Ren, and Ivy, they climb seven mountains and discover seven values that help them make better choices. Their adventures are fun, sometimes challenging, and always meaningful. Kids see themselves in the characters, and adults see opportunities to spark conversations that matter.
For educators already using the Ethics4Kids curriculum, HEDGE adds a new layer of depth. Each chapter aligns naturally with the values taught in the lesson plans, making it an ideal read‑aloud, a classroom resource, or a take‑home companion for families. The story reinforces the same ideas children explore in their daily lessons, but through narrative, emotion, and imagination.
For parents, HEDGE offers a simple way to bring values education into everyday life. The story invites children to think about kindness, responsibility, truth, respect, and perseverance in ways that feel real and accessible. It’s a gentle guide for conversations about choices, consequences, and character.
And for kids, it’s an adventure. A trail to follow. A world to explore. A chance to learn through the eyes of characters who make mistakes, learn from them, and grow.
The official release of HEDGE is coming soon, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Whether you’re teaching in a classroom, guiding a homeschool lesson, or reading with your child at bedtime, this book is designed to support the Ethics4Kids mission: helping children learn values that last a lifetime.
Stay tuned for the release announcement, sample pages, and ways to integrate HEDGE into your Ethics4Kids lessons. The adventure is about to begin.
